Gardens by the Bay kicked off the June holidays with a brand-new thematic floral display in the cooled conservatories. It was the first time that the changing display, which typically takes place in the Flower Dome conservatory, was extended to the Cloud Forest conservatory.


And Merlion Wayfarer was invited to be a part of this exciting launch!

Entitled "Flight of Fancy", the colourful display - complete with miniature hot air balloons, airplanes and kites, and dotted with intriguing flight-related facts brings all who stepped into the domes on a fun-filled and educational journey of discovery.


Upon entering the Flower Dome, be amazed by the huge expanse of ground in front - dotted with hot air balloons which add a playful touch of colour to the fields of green...

Up up and away! Fire your imagination with a Flight Of Fancy!

Let your imagination fly freely as hot-air balloons hover over a field...



Peek-a-boo balloons...

Kites flying highest against the wind...

Such a huge bunch of balloons - Merlion Wayfarer is reminded of the scenes in Pixar's Up!
And... An Australian lady said to her,"My Dutch boy (her husband) feels very at home here!"

The merging lines on the conservatory frame make an eye-catching backdrop...
   
"Flight of Fancy" will be on display from 03 June to 21 July 2013 from 0900-2100 hours.

In conjunction with the June holidays, kids will also enjoy 50% discount on Local Resident Child Tickets to the cooled conservatories from 01 to 28 June 2013. 

A series of activities has also been planned in conjunction with Gardens by the Bay’s upcoming 1st anniversary:
